The music department of IES Roquetes organises a school orchestra. The orchestra was started only last year by the head of the music department, Guillem Enri. Despite the relatively short length of time that the orchestra has been in existence it has already enjoyed tremendous success.
Here is a video made during the IES Roquetes Gala Jornades Interculturals 2007, the school's intercultural celebration. The gala was held in the school gym, unfortunately before the improvements in the acoustics that have taken place this year and, also unfortunately, without Guillem himself who was unable to attend this performance as conductor. Despite this it is a good example of the excellent level achieved by the orchestra after only one year of life.
The orchestra performs after a demonstration of acrogimnastics done by students of the 4th year.
